This long time family operated business is the place to go for quick and friendly service when you are in need of the cold stuff. Though their self serve machines do not work, you can still drive through in a jiffy. Pull up to the dock and place your order, and you will be on your way in no time. I like the fact that you can get the 50 lbs. bags of ice. The ice also comes in blocks or the dry ice comes in handy for those long trips.

Paired with an old-fashioned hand-crank ice cream maker, the Artesia Ice company ice makes the best ice cream. Ok, that's a stretch. But this ice just seems to work better than ice you'd buy at the supermarket.
You drive around to the back and purchase the ice from a vending machine or from a person if the office is open. A 7 lb. bag of ice costs $1, a 25 lb. bag costs $3.75.
Is Artesia ice made from artesian wells? Possibly, since the city of Artesia pumps some of its tap water from artesian wells.
