“For three years the same teachers do not return calls from parents. They don't really care about the students. They can get away with mediocrity because majority of the students at Faye Ross come from low income families in Artesia and Norwalk.They know that their union gives them job security. The good schools in the ABCUSD are in Cerritos.”

“Ross is a great school! The new Principal is doing great things to change this school's image. He really cares about the students and staff. My son will be in 8th grade in the fall and I can tell you that the atmosphere completely changed for the better from the beginning of last year to the end of the school year. I am really excited to see what's in store for the upcoming year. The kids seem happy and they all seem to get along well. the teachers are great too. I will admit that there is one or two who take their time returning emails or phone calls but if you let the Principal know, he'll fix it. Also, check out the PTA. This is a group of really dedicated parents who work really hard to make a difference in this school. They meet on the first Thursday of the month.”

“Ross is an awesome school. Especially, their art and music programs are terrific. But the basic requirements like English and Math are very treated trivial at Ross. They should stress their students more so that they can be prepared for high school. But the relationships between student and teacher is really good in Ross”

“This school is a great school. The teachers really help the students and try to keep them on task. If the students are not doing well in school they will put them in a after school program that will help them in that particular subject.”

“If you were recommending putting your child in ross middle school I suggest you should not it is a great school but the administrator treat the parents and the children horrible. Some teachers are ok but most of them are not good at all. Also the parent involement is not advertised at all. This school is known for there media arts but never really put that out two much. The academics are way easier than some other schools in the district.”

“The school has made strides to improve, but falls short when it comes to cooperation with teachers. Certain teachers do not return phone calls or messages. What is the use of preaching the schools web page to check students homework assignments, when the teachers are not required to post the assignments on the site. Typical lack of communication.”

“Ross has done a lot to try and change the school's image, but it is still failing the students.Arts and crafts, and computers cannot help the children learn better, when parents and teachers do not communicate.I am disappointed with some of the teachers, the guidance department and the overall ABC school district.We are looking to move away in order to get our children a better education”

“This a a great school. The teachers are good and my son has done well. He loves his science class. Mr. Mead is his teacher and he's been great for my son. He's really helped turn him around and point him in a positive direction.”
